Safari

Did I tell yoh that we saw the big five?! Well, we did after just 4 hours in the park. We had our own car and guide for a whole day and saw so many animals!

Two out of the nine lions we saw!
You can barely see it in the picture but in the tree right at the split there is a leopard

Greetings from Africa!

Africa is still great, hot and poor. But we are still alive and are now close to the end of our journey. It's said but at the same time it's gonna be great to go back home to my family and celebrate Christmas, eat tons of food and enjoy Sweden ('cause it wure is one of the best countries in the world). Today we have been hanging out by the pool at a hotel here in Inhambane. Must say that it sure is great to be a student sometimes =)

This is what we eat pretty much everyday - mango!

Two happy girls at the beach after we have conducted 23 interviews for our study, and need a vacation =)
I hope that you are all doing great! In a week we are in Maputo, and in two weeks we are at home with our family!!

Hello

Have access to the internet for like a minute for just a quick update and no pics.
Swam with a whale shark the other day. That was awesome. Was right next to it!!!!
Otherwise we are doing just great here and enjoying Africa!!!
I'll give you an update soon!!!

And more...

Here are more random pictures from Mozambique. It's a very very poor country, and unfortunately very hard to live in. Poor people and children everywhere and the look at us as see money. I feel like a walking dollar bill here on the street if Inhambane, like they've never seen a white person before (which they have).

Even though there's not a lot of food here and the standard of living is really poor, we're still in good spirits. I mean, should I complain when it's aroung 80 degrees everyday and sunny, while it's cold and dark in Sweden?! Don't think so! We've been here for over 2 weeks now, and it's weird to think that we're gonna be here for another 6 weeks. But we're planning ocean safari within the next week, swiming with whalesharks and mantarays (and hopefully dolphins). And then at the end of our stay here in Mozambique, we're going to Krügers National Park in South Africa to see the big five (fingers crossed).

Otherwise, we're doing just great here. can't wait for Christmas though, when we will be back in Sweden and eat some real food! I'll try to post as many pictures as I can, but the slow internet is really making it difficult. But here are more random pictures from Inhambane:

Im alive

I just wanted to let you know that I am alive. Just having huge problems with internet so we can barely communicate with now. But we have arrived and we are now starting to get used to being white in a black country.
