HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY!

Happy 6th birthday, Harry!!!
I hope you'll have an awesome day and can't wait to see pictures.

I love you, always will!

OMG

I gave twitter a second chance and fell pretty hard this time. It is fun, especially to find out what people are doing around the globe. To the point: I wrote a tweet about Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, and to my surprise she made the tweet a favorite.

I just "spoke" to MJ's daughter, which to me is the closest I can get to him. I'm in heaven. Totally made my day, and week, and even the rest of the week.

Tomorrow I'll try Alicia Keys ;)

Cookie dough

Got this lip balm from work. First I thought it was cookie dough on tube until I read lip balm. I probably could have squeezed it all on some ice cream if I weren't smart enough :) The first time I saw the tube was on instagram and therefore had decided that it was a tube filled with deliciousness, but how wrong was I.
If you wonder, it doesnt really taste like cookie dough.

A day in Dalarna

I don't know if I told you that my sister Linn got engaged in May and will get married next August. They have decided to have the wedding in Dalarna (even though Johan is from Stockholm) and therefore have been looking at some places around the lake of Siljan close to an hour drive from Falun. Me and my mom went on an excursion last Thursday to look at some places as they are still in Belgium plus my mom wanted to show me the place that they almost decided on. I brought my camera with me and I must say that they can't find a more beautiful place.

Lake Siljan
In this beautiful little hous on the dock is where they are planning on having the reception
Look at that view
From the dock you can see the church from where they are planning on arriving in a church boat
Here comes the train. The sign says "Warning, train twice an hour"

Celebrating my grandmother

Almost the whole family on my dad's side got togheter last month to celebrate my grandmother's 80th birthday. Let me introduce most of them who didn't mind me and my camera.

Aren't they the coolest?
The three brothers working the grill
Most of my cousins socializing with their cellphones
Getting the champagne glasses ready for the toast

Unfortunately the battery died so the rest of the evening did get recorded, but it was a great day and my dear grandmother was happy as can be.

At my parents'

Made this cute/ugly holder for the paper towels when I was a kid. My mom still has it in the kitchen and refuses to get a new one.

Can't stop laughing when I see it, especially as it has a lazy eye :)

My graduation gift

Finally, it arrived. What is more perfect than a giant New Yorker poster in my home?! This is my graduation gift from my parents and I love it. However I do t have my own home yet do it will probably go to my parents' until then.

My weekend in food

Spent last weekend eating, it's sort of my new passion. Not eating but cooking and eating good food. Last Friday we made a veggieburger made with portobello mushroom. It was the best burger I've even made.

I suppose you can call last Sunday a French Sunday. We started the day with breakfast at the best cafe (french of course) and ended it with galette at a French bistro. Yum yum! The best part: it was all delicious and cost me barely nothing.

S'mores time

All of a sudden my sister tells me that she wants s'mores. So we made some s'mores over some candles while watching a movie. Yum!

My adventure

Me and my friend ended up going to an island for an adventure. The weather was beautiful and the ice cream was yummy!

Trip to Avesta Art

Spent the day at an old huge ironwork here in Dalarna. Today it houses art exhibitions but also is a form of historic museum. An amazing place worth visiting.

Midsummer by night

The fist pic is on how the sun never really goes down. It's now close to 1 am and the sky is still light, so pretty.
Now I'm off to bed because tomorrow we are going on a trip somewhere (don't remember). Goodnight!

Midsummer pole

A beautiful day in the sun :)

Midsummer's eve

Today is probably one of the most Swedish days in the year - Midsummer. For this occasion I have left our beautiful capital for the Swedish outback. I'm in Falun with my parents and for the first time this summer wearing a dress, very excited. You will be able to follow the festivities on the blog as I will keep you posted throughout the weekend.

I will begin with a pic of me as I'm getting out of the car hehe

On the rooftop

Spent the day on a rooftop in Stockholm with this wonderful lady - Pernilla. Can you believe that I went to the States with her 5 years ago, and here we are...? May 21, 2007. Feels like yesterday!

Brr it's cold out there

June 2nd was a really cold day. It was the day of Stockholm Marathon with 21 thousand runners from all over the world, but Sweden didn't show how great Swedish summer is. Instead it was the coldest day in 83 years (if I remember right). The rain pored and the wind was absolutely awful.

Are you ready to find out how cold it really was!? It was 42 degrees! People were actually wearing hats and gloves...

Graduation day

As crazy as it may sound, I'm no longer a student, I'm a university grad student with a bachelor degree in tourism studies. Sounds pretty awesome. I'm so proud of myself!

I'll post more pics from my mom's phone soon, but first...
This is how I've celebrated:

We won!

It's now official, we won! Next year Sweden will host Eurovision song Contest! We won! I hear neighbors screaming and Sweden is going nuts! Did I tell you that Sweden and Loreen won :)

Euphoria

Tonight is the Eurovision Song Contest final in Baku, Azerbaijan. I kow I've told you about ESC before especially as it is the world's biggest entertainment show. However it is total ESC madness in Sweden because this year we have a chance to win. This weeks news have been filled with ESC, almost too much, but what's different this year from other years is that Sweden and Loreen is favorites among all the competing countries, and some people have already announced her the winner.

Tonight is the night, Sweden have a chance to win. Last time was 1999, and now they are comparing Loreen with when ABBA won ESC with the song Waterloo. Keep your fingers crossed!!!

I'll update when they announce the winner!!!

Just me

I'm sure you've been waiting to see some pictures of me so here you go. Enjoy! :)
